In March, a formal ceremony marked the horse-owning community becoming signatories to the Emergency Animal Disease Response Agreement (EADRA) at Parliament House. The agreement was signed by the Australian Racing Board, Harness Racing Australia, the Australian Horse Industry Council and Equestrian Australia. The peak horse industry groups have agreed that signing the EADRA is a key priority to ensure protection in the event of any future disease outbreak that affects horses.
