Sheep producers now have a new resource for information on endemic livestock conditions with the development of an information page on the Animal Health Australia website about the new Livestock Production Conditions Project (LPCP).
The LPCP pilot project was developed by AHA together with its sheep industry peak bodies to take a more holistic approach to addressing endemic conditions, as well as enhance collaboration and streamline governance costs. The project was launched in July this year.
The project aims to reduce the financial impacts of endemic diseases and other production conditions on farm and supply chain productivity in Australia.
Producers, veterinarians and anyone working in the sheep supply chain are encouraged to visit the new LPCP webpage for links to existing projects that now sit under the LPCP, including the National Sheep Health Monitoring Project and the National OJD Management Plan.
As the project continues to be developed, more information about endemic diseases will be added to the LPCP webpage.
The LPCP webpage can be found by clicking on the ‘Biosecurity’ link on the AHA website (www.animalhealthaustralia.com.au). For more information about the LPCP, email Animal Health Australia’s Biosecurity Officer, Dr Rob Barwell at firstname.lastname@example.org
