Free online biosecurity training is available through the Biosecurity Online Training (BOLT) platforms operated by Plant Health Australia (PHA) and Animal Health Australia (AHA).
BOLT provides flexible online learning opportunities to help build knowledge of biosecurity preparedness and response, emergency response arrangements and good biosecurity practices.
Both organisations recently transitioned their courses to upgraded learning platforms, providing an improved user experience and continued access to a range of free training resources.
PHA’s BOLT platform includes courses covering plant pest and disease and response, Emergency Plant Pest Response Deed (EPPRD) arrangements and plant biosecurity practices.
AHA’s BOLT platform offers training focused on emergency animal disease preparedness and response, livestock industry arrangements and other animal biosecurity topics.
The courses support participants to build their understanding of biosecurity risks, preparedness activities and response arrangements, while learning at their own pace.
