From paddock to port: biosecurity training for everyone

The National Biosecurity Training Hub is a one-stop shop to find practical biosecurity courses to support biosecurity preparedness, response and recovery.

The Training Hub provides a central location to find courses to help growers strengthen preparedness, improve reporting, train staff and support the surrounding supply chain.

The Hub brings together nearly 80 verified courses from 20 providers across plant, animal and aquatic sectors the one place to quickly find the skills you need to manage biosecurity risks on your property.

You’ll find courses to suit your needs. Whether you manage crops, oversee mixed farming operations, or rely on contractors and seasonal workers, it’s simple to find training that supports day‑to‑day operations.

Courses for growers

Growers: Pest Reporting and Responses course helps you recognise unusual symptoms in crops and understand what happens when a biosecurity response is triggered. The Hitchhiker Pests course explains how pests travel on machinery, vehicles and freight, and outlines simple steps you can take to reduce risk on your property. If you want a broader overview, the Plant Biosecurity in Australia course introduces how the national system works and where growers fit within it. For those wanting to improve on‑farm monitoring, the Plant Surveillance course builds practical skills in crop inspections, early detection and understanding how surveillance supports market access.

Get involved

  • Growers and producers: Explore courses and enrol anytime. Share relevant training with employees, contractors and neighbours.
  • Course providers: Submit plant biosecurity courses to reach a national audience.

Visit the National Biosecurity Training Hub to start exploring courses and strengthening the biosecurity resilience of your farm, business and community.
